Alan is a well-seasoned veteran addition to our company in 2020, having spent his entire working career in the asphalt paving business. After graduating from Michigan Technological University with a Civil Engineering degree in 1982 he began working for Thompson-McCully Co. While there, he held a number of staff and leadership positions. Progressing from a project estimator & manager to a $45 million/year division manager and a $110 million/year regional manager in 1999 after the sale of Thompson-McCully Co to CRH. In 2003 he was appointed the General Manager of the joint venture company Cadillac Asphalt LLC ($190 million/year business) with CRH and Edward C Levy as its owners. For 7 years, he was the bituminous representative on the MITA Board of Directors. Alan is well known in the Michigan road construction industry with many State Association asphalt paving awards won by crews under his leadership.
